Pune Rain:  Khadakwasla dam is 100 percent full due to heavy rain in Pune. Hence, the biggest discharge of this season was done in Mutha river. Bhide Bridge has gone under water due to the rapid release of 30 thousand cusecs of water in the Mutha river due to the ongoing rains from the Khadakwasla dam. Due to this, life was disrupted to some extent.

71 calls during the day

Although the flow of water in the river basin has increased, the disaster management department and ward offices of the municipal corporation have received 71 calls during the day, Ganesh Sonune, head of the disaster management department, has informed. In this, there are complaints of water entering houses, settlements and societies. There have been seven incidents of tree fall in the city. 
The Disaster Management Department has taken appropriate action to remove the water from the waterlogged places. As rain is forecast for two more days in the city, the Disaster Management Department of the Municipal Corporation has started round-the-clock office in every ward office. It consists of 10 Deputy Engineers, Health Inspectors and others. Also, one JCB, one jetting machine, one truck and 25 manpower have been made available. While there was no need to evacuate anyone in the riverside areas, as a precautionary measure, temporary accommodation has been arranged in 39 schools for the residents of areas likely to be hit by water.

 Areas affected by heavy rains, Sinhagad roads with big potholes, flood at Mundhe Vasti Table in Kothrud, flood in small industry drain in Kondhwa Yevlewadi, houses in Amriteshwar temple in Yerwada, water in Fasa society in Chandni Chowk. Slow traffic in the city center, huge congestion due to submergence of high bridges are the main problems. Due to the closure of the riverside road, the traffic pressure on Kelkar road and Jungli Maharaj road has increased to a great extent. Many roads in the already potholed city were flooded. Due to this, the entire transport system was disrupted.

Khadkawasla dam has released the highest amount of this season. 30,000 cusecs of water was released into Mutha river. Therefore, vigilance has been given to the villages and citizens along the river. Along with that Pune There was also a lot of water in the Deccan area in the center of the city. Bhede bridges in the riverbed and roads in the riverbed have been closed for traffic.
