Pune News: The Ganpati immersion procession in Pune started for thirty hours this year. In this procession which took place after two years, the people of Pune celebrated with jubilation. Thousands of Punekars were on the streets throughout the night. The Ganesh Visarjan procession passed through Lakshmi Road, Kelkar Road, Kumthekar Road, Tilak Road, Lal Bahadur Shastri Road, Karve Road, Jungli Maharaj Road where only people were seen. After this procession, however, 32 tons of garbage accumulated. 1 thousand 37 employees of Pune Municipal Corporation’s solid waste department cleaned the Pune area in just three hours. Not only the garbage, but also the shoes and boots of Punekars filled as many as six tempos. 

Punekars returned home barefoot
After the immersion procession, the roads of Pune started to be cleaned. For thirty hours, thousands of people gathered on the streets to bid farewell to Bappa. Thousands of people attended the immersion procession this year with great enthusiasm. Many people wanted to take pictures while many people participated to dance enthusiastically. Alka Talkies Chowk was flooded with people. But after this procession, many Punekars went home barefoot because the next day, while cleaning the city, shoes and boots filled up to six tempos. Food stalls were also set up at various places. Therefore, the solid waste department took up a clean-up campaign as huge piles of garbage appeared in the city. For this, the municipal corporation had 1 thousand 37 cleaning staff. It also involved many institutions. There was a large number of college students in it. It includes Lakshmi Road, Tilak Road, Kumthekar Road, Kelkar Road, Bajirao Road, Shivaji Road, Tilak Chowk, Khanduji Baba Chowk, Karve Road, Jungli Maharaj Road, Senapati Bapat Road, Ganeshkhind Road, Gopal Krishna Gokhale Road, Huh. Prabhat Road, Bhandarkar Road, Pune Mumbai Road main roads were cleaned. 

Shoes found in Kolhapur too
After the procession in Kolhapur (kolhapur) there was silence everywhere. A video of the city’s cleaning work going on went viral. In it, 6 dumper shoes were found on Mahadwara in Kolhapur. It is clear from this that this year Ganeshotsav was celebrated very loudly by the citizens. But like Pune, Kolhapurkars returned home barefoot after the procession.
