Pune News: Fake Paneer maker from Wanavadi in Pune. Action has been taken against Tiptop Dairy Products, an unlicensed trader. The Food and Drug Administration raided the factory and seized the stock after it was found to be manufacturing fake cheese. Fake food is sold during the festive season. During this period, there is a possibility of a large amount of adulteration. Therefore, the Food and Drug Administration has been alerted.
When the factory was raided, it was found that 800 kg of fake cheese had been prepared. 350 kg skimmed milk powder and 270 kg palmoline oil were found to be stored to make this paneer. Taking samples for inspection from stock 799 kg Paneer worth Rs.1 lakh 76 thousand 790, 348 kg skimmed milk powder worth Rs.1 lakh 21 thousand 800, 268 kg RBD Palmolein oil worth Rs.39 thousand 664 total 3 lakh 29 thousand 254 Stock worth Rs. was seized.
As cheese is a perishable commodity, the seized stock was destroyed on the spot. All the samples have been sent to the laboratory for examination and legal action will be taken as soon as the report is received.
