Pune NCP News : Changing the ward structure is a downfall of democracy; Prashant Jagtap attack on BJP

Pune NCP News : The state government has ordered a new ward structure of 24 municipalities in the state (Pune)  Municipal Commissioner has been given. The state government has taken this decision hastily and it is a downfall of democracy, said Pune NCP city president (NCP)  Done by Prashant Jagtap. 

The state government has ordered the municipal commissioner to reorganize the ward structure of 24 municipalities in the state including Mumbai (BMC), Thane (TMC), Navi Mumbai, Aurangabad (Aurangabad Municipal Corporation). Urban Development Department has issued an order in this regard. Wards will be formed according to population. This decision of the state government has been strongly protested by the leaders of NCP in Pune.

The state government decided to redo the ward structure in a hasty night. He has expressed the view that taking a decision to change the ward structure during the final hearing regarding local self government elections on November 28 is contempt of the Supreme Court. Documents containing evidence in this regard have been submitted to the Supreme Court. He also said that everyone has faith in this judiciary"text-align: justify;">BJP is playing a dirty trick. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis do not want these elections. So they have decided to change the ward structure. It will take at least 7 to 8 months. Elections have already been delayed for 8 months and this decision will further delay the elections. Jagtap has also accused the BJP that this means that they do not want these elections now.  

Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan-Dombivali, Ulhasnagar, Vasai-Virar, Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Solapur, Kolhapur, Nashik, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Nanded-Waghala, Latur. Municipalities Parbhani, Chandrapur, Bhiwandi-Nizampur, Malegaon, Panvel, Mira-Bhainder have expired. The ward structure of this municipal corporation will be changed. 

Even earlier NCP opposition to ward structure
Many Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Municipal Corporations do not have mayors or corporators. Several months have passed since the deadline of many municipalities. But all the affairs are in the hands of the administrator. Therefore, there is an urgent need for elections to solve the civic problems in the city. But once again, the possibility of delaying the municipal, nagar panchayat and zilla parishad elections is being expressed. Therefore, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of NCP
