The central government has banned the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its eight affiliated organizations for five years. The Ministry of Home Affairs has taken this action against PFI under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). Under the UAPA, the central government can declare an organization illegal or terrorist or ban it. So these organizations have been banned by the central government.
What was the matter?
A few days ago in Pune, NIA raided PFI offices in connection with providing financial support to terrorists. Two office bearers of PFI were arrested in it. PFI workers had protested against his arrest without taking permission from the police. At that time, he had raised slogans in support of Pakistan. MNS president Raj Thackeray raised his voice against this sloganeering.
Pakistan flag burning protest
After that the militants in Pune had become aggressive. He had held a big protest at Alka Talkies Chowk in Pune. Hundreds of militants participated in that movement. During this protest, the militants burnt the flag of Pakistan and demanded action against the PFI organization and its workers.

If the workers of Popular Front of India remember their religion and Pakistan, then walk in Pakistan. Asli Thera will not work in our country. I request the Home Ministers at the Center and the States to say, ‘Pakistan Zindabad, Allahu Akbar’ If such announcements are to be made in India… now the Hindu brothers of this country will not remain silent. Raj Thackeray tweeted that it is in India’s interest to destroy this pest.
