PCMC Crime News: Grandparents and former trustees of Sansthan of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj in Pune were arrested red-handed while gambling. Along with them, 26 people, including the corporator of Dehu Municipal Council, husband of the corporator, were chained. After this action of the Pimpri Chinchwad police, there has been an uproar in the Warkari community.
The anti-robbery squad received information about a gambling den being run in Pune’s Chakan MIDC area. There is a closed company on Dehugaon to Yelwadi route. This card game was played on the first floor of that company. The Pimpri Chinchwad police confirmed this and accordingly laid a trap on Tuesday night. 26 people joined the company one after the other. Cards started falling into everyone’s hands, bundles of notes were opened, bettors were happy and money dippers were unhappy. Meanwhile, the police raided there and everyone was shocked.
No one could escape from the trap set by the police. The police started taking information about everyone. Then the police got this shock. Because among these twenty-six people, Vishal Keshav More, trustee of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan of Dehu, Santosh Gulab More, former trustee, were gambling. They include Mayur Tilekar, a corporator of Dehu Municipal Council, Vishal Pardeshi, husband of a corporator. A ransom of thirty five lakhs has been seized from twenty-six arrested persons. The Warkari community is in a frenzy as the grandmother and former trustee of the Dehu Sansthan were found among the gamblers.
Same time raids on 8 gambling dens, 94 people booked
Pune Bibwewadi Police Within the station limits K.K. Police raided eight illegal online and offline gambling dens in Market and Constituent Chowk. 11 lakh 50 thousand worth of goods were seized and a case was registered against as many as 94 people. According to the police received confidential information in this regard, a trap was laid and a major operation was launched along with fake customers and police team.
