Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while appreciating the general budget presented in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday said that this first budget of the country’s Amrit Kaal will guide India like Saptarishi and Uttar Pradesh will benefit greatly from it. In a press conference here on Thursday, the Chief Minister lauded the budget presented in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. He said that this budget is not just a development agenda for the year 2023-24, but a ‘blueprint’ to lay the foundation of the country’s developed economy for the next 25 to 50 years.
He said that the seven priorities of this budget have been called ‘Saptarishi’. He said, “This first budget of the country’s Amrit Kaal will guide India like Saptarishi and will also pave the way to fulfill the goals of an aspirational country.” Adityanath said that the extension of the supply of free food grains to the poor for one more year under the Antyodaya scheme would bring great relief to 15 crore needy people of Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister said that by giving priority to ‘startups’ related to agriculture and setting up Krishi Vardhak Fund for young entrepreneurs for this, diversification will increase in the agriculture sector of Uttar Pradesh and new employment opportunities will be created for the talented youth. He said that a loan guarantee of Rs 9000 crore would be given to cottage, small and medium scale industries. He said that this will give a new strength to the domestic economy of Uttar Pradesh and will also encourage employment.
He said that Uttar Pradesh has maximum 96 lakh such industrial units. He said that definitely the small entrepreneurs of Uttar Pradesh would be benefited the most by this provision of the budget.
