Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has once again become the editor of Saamana. After becoming the Chief Minister, he resigned from his post, after which wife Rashmi Uddhav Thackeray became the editor of the party main paper Saamana. After Balasaheb Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray took charge of Saamana. This change is now visible in the newspaper. Uddhav Thackeray’s name is now going as editor in the edition of Saamana.

Late Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray started Dainik Saamna newspaper in 1988 to take his thoughts and political stand to the people of Maharashtra in the 90s. After his death, Uddhav Thackeray was given the responsibility of this post. Shiv Sena leader and MP Sanjay Raut is the executive editor of Saamana.

On 29 November 2019, Uddhav Thackeray resigned from the post of editor of Saamana on becoming the Chief Minister. Only after that Rashmi was made editor. Then for the first time, a female editor of Saamana was made. The Hindi version of Saamana is published under the name ‘Dopahar Ka Saamna’.
