Uddhav Thackeray left for Matoshree with wife Rashmi and both sons Aditya and Tejas. This is the private residence of the Thackeray family. While coming out of the rain, a crowd of supporters surrounded Uddhav Thackeray’s car. At the same time, a large number of his supporters gathered outside Matoshree. Slogans were raised outside Matoshree, ‘Uddhav, you go ahead, we are with you.’
What message is Uddhav giving by vacating the CM residence?
By vacating the government residence, Uddhav Thackeray is giving a signal to his supporters and MLAs that he does not aspire for the post of Chief Minister. After the revolt of senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, the clouds of crisis are constantly hovering over the Maharashtra government. Questioning the government, Eknath Shinde wrote a letter which also has the signatures of 34 MLAs.
After this, Uddhav Thackeray issued a message to the people of Maharashtra by doing Facebook Live. Uddhav Thackeray had said that he is ready to resign if his MLAs do not want him to remain in the post. Uddhav had also said that he is ready to leave even the CM residence.
Raut said – Uddhav will not resign
On the other hand, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that Uddhav Thackeray is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and he will not resign from the post of Chief Minister. Raut said that if he gets a chance to prove his majority in the floor test, he will. Sanjay Raut clarified that the offer to make Eknath Shinde the CM is absolutely wrong. Sanjay Raut said, ‘We will fight.’ He was present at the CM residence since morning. Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde has appointed Bharat Gogawale as the new Chief Vip of Shiv Sena.
Eknath Shinde’s rebel voice continues
On the other hand, Shiv Sena’s rebel Eknath Shinde is still adamant on his point. For the survival of the party and Shiv Sainiks, it is necessary to exit the MVA front, he said. He further said that in the last two-and-a-half years, the MVA government only benefited the constituents and the Shiv Sainiks suffered huge losses.
