… So the Shinde-Fadnavis government was formed without the Governor’s invitation? NCP leader Mahesh Tapase’s question after RTI revelations

Mumbai: RTI activist Santosh Jadhav had sought the date and outgoing number of the letter from the Maharashtra Raj Bhavan inviting Ekanth Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis to form the government. In response, information was received from the Governor’s Secretariat that there was no record of any such letter. That’s why no information can be given about this. After the revelations from RTI, NCP spokesperson Mahesh Tapase has raised the question whether the Shinde-Fadnavis government has been formed without the invitation of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari? Tapase said that when a leader gives a letter to the Governor about having a majority in his favor, then the Governor gives him a written letter to prove his majority in the House. But after the fact that there is no record of any such letter in the Raj Bhavan of Maharashtra, it is bound to arise the question that despite the absence of the invitation of the Governor, how and by whose order the government was formed?

How was the Chief Minister sworn in? Does the government that came into existence like this have any constitutional status? Tapase said that instead of anyone else, the Governor himself should clarify the situation in this regard. Tapase said that after this information came to the fore from RTI, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari himself has expressed his desire to be relieved of his post. Is there any connection between these two things?

Mahavikas Aghadi became the attacker
On the pretext of this RTI, the three constituents of Mahavikas Aghadi are attacking the Shinde government and the Governor of Maharashtra. He says that the Governor should clarify the situation on this issue. However, on the other hand, the governor has now expressed his desire to leave Maharashtra. In a way, he has put the matter of political retirement in front of PM Modi. Ever since the Shinde Fadnavis government came to power in Maharashtra. Since then the leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi have been calling this government unconstitutional and unethical. Now the answer to this RTI has given more strength to his claims. It is believed that in the coming days in the politics of Maharashtra, there will be fierce fighting on this issue. Uddhav faction leaders can also raise this issue before the court and the Election Commission.
