Sharad Pawar: Enmity with BJP in Maharashtra and support in Nagaland, what kind of politics is this by Sharad Pawar, MVA on the way to break?

Mumbai: What is going on in the mind of Sharad Pawar, the Chanakya of politics. It is very difficult even for his colleagues to guess this. On one hand, Shiv Sena of Uddhav Thackeray faction, an ally of NCP in Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra, is cursing BJP after drinking water. Amidst all this, Sharad Pawar has extended his support to the NDPP-BJP alliance in Nagaland. However, Sharad Pawar has made it clear that supporting the alliance does not mean supporting the BJP. NCP has captured 7 seats in the recent elections. BJP has got 12 seats. On the other hand, NDPP (National Democratic People’s Party) has won 25 seats out of total 60 seats in this election. NDPP and BJP had a pre-poll alliance. NCP says that we had already discussed this matter with Nephew Rio of NDPP. NCP has supported RIO keeping in view the interest of the people of Nagaland. NCP spokesperson Narendra Verma said that it was the desire of the elected legislators in Nagaland that we should be part of the government for the benefit of the people. Later this issue was brought to Sharad Pawar. On which Pawar has said to support. Clearing its stand, NCP has said that our support is completely for Rio. We have not given our support to BJP. We have joined hands with Rio, not with BJP.

This decision of Sharad Pawar can also have an impact on allies Shiv Sena and Congress in Maharashtra. If Uddhav Thackeray faction MLA Bhaskar Jadhav is to be believed, he is not aware of the decision taken in the MVA meeting. It is discussed that a joint meeting of MVA leaders was held on Wednesday, a day before the assembly budget session. In which joint rallies were discussed in the months of April and May. It is believed that the support of NDPP in Nagaland was also discussed in this meeting. However, there is also talk that Pawar did not take Uddhav Thackeray into confidence about this.

Pawar has done this in Maharashtra too
In the 2014 elections, the BJP emerged as the single largest party in the state. However, it was not in a position to form the government without support. At that time also NCP chief Sharad Pawar had announced to extend outside support to BJP in the government. At that time Devendra Fadnavis became the CM of Maharashtra. Pawar said that during the elections in Meghalaya before the elections, PM Modi and Amit Shah made serious allegations of corruption against the opponents. While after the results came, he formed an alliance with them to form the government.
