Seeing elections approaching, CM remembered cleaning of Yamuna: BJP

Vis, New Delhi : The 6-point action plan announced by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to clean Yamuna by February 2025 has been termed by BJP as just an election announcement. Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta said that seeing the MCD elections approaching in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has remembered the cleanliness of Yamuna. If he was really serious about cleaning Yamuna, then every year on Chhath Puja, devotees would not have to bathe in dirty Yamuna, but in the last 7 years he did nothing except making empty announcements and rhetoric about the cleanliness of Yamuna. . Because of this, the condition of Yamuna has become so pathetic today. Adesh Gupta, while congratulating the Delhiites on the announcement of cleaning Yamuna, said that on this pretext, at least the CM remembered the cleanliness of Yamuna. It has become a habit of Kejriwal to chant the same melody before the elections. He has been saying continuously since 2013 that one day I myself will take a dip in Yamuna with the people of Delhi and Yamuna will become like the Thames River in London, yet today Yamuna is in worse condition than before. Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri also rejected the Chief Minister’s claim of cleaning the Yamuna, saying that in reality these days the problem of air pollution in Delhi and the reprimands being received by the Delhi government from the Supreme Court on the issue of the public has caused public concern. Kejriwal has raised the issue of cleaning Yamuna only to divert attention, while at this time he should think about how the air of Delhi will be clean. He said that seeing the trouble on Chhath, Kejriwal has again remembered Yamuna. Bidhuri asked where was the fund of Rs 2,419 crore given by the central government to the Delhi government for cleaning Yamuna, where was it spent? CM should keep its account in front of the people of Delhi. Terming this announcement of Kejriwal as mere propaganda, North-East Delhi MP and former state president Manoj Tiwari said that till date Kejriwal has not done anything for cleaning the Yamuna at the ground level and he is not going to do anything further. . He challenged the CM and said that he would reach the Central Park of Connaught Place at 1 pm on 24th and the CM should also come there and tell the people what schemes he has taken to clean Yamuna and make Delhi pollution free in the last 7 years. But did the work, how much money was spent on them and what was the result of that work?
