Mumbai: Amidst the loudspeaker controversy in Maharashtra, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has received a threatening letter. MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar said on Wednesday that he and Raj Thackeray have been threatened with death. He said in a warning tone that if anything happens to Raj Thackeray, he will burn Maharashtra.

MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar said, ‘A letter has come to my office threatening to kill me and Raj Thackeray. It is written in the letter that whatever you are doing regarding Azaan, stop immediately, otherwise you will be killed. You are roaming with Raj Thackeray, will not leave you and will kill Raj Thackeray too.

‘…then Maharashtra will burn’
Bala Nandgaonkar said, ‘We have been given this threat for the ongoing agitation over loudspeakers.’ He warned, ‘Maharashtra will burn if even Raj Thackeray’s hair is plucked. We do not know who has written this letter.. This letter has come from the post.’ He met Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Valse and demanded increased security for Raj Thackeray.
