Lucknow: Politics has intensified regarding the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House in the country’s capital New Delhi. BJP leaders led by PM Narendra Modi have taken an aggressive stand on the opposition parties. CM Yogi Adityanath has also called the opposition’s protest against democracy. Now SP President Akhilesh Yadav has taken a dig at the matter.

Former UP CM and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav tweeted on the issue of Central Vista and Sengol, writing that Sengol is a symbol of transfer of power (from one hand to another). He further wrote that it seems the BJP has accepted that the time has come to hand over power.


Strongly attacking the opposition parties, CM Yogi said that the kind of rhetoric being made by the opposition parties, including the Congress, is extremely sad and irresponsible. This is going to weaken democracy. BSP supremo Mayawati has said that she will not be able to attend, citing her busy schedule. But the boycott of the opposition parties was also said to be wrong.

CM Yogi said that today a malicious attempt is being made to dispute such a glorious moment with the statements of the opposition. The country will not accept this under any circumstances. In his statement, he further said that the date of May 28 is going to be recorded as a glorious day in the history of independent India.

Andhra Pradesh CM Y. S. YSR Congress Party led by Jagan Mohan Reddy will not join forces with the opposition parties in boycotting the inauguration of the new Parliament building. Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal in Odisha has also announced its participation in the inauguration of the new Parliament building.
