Pallavi Patel: Leave the farmers in 48 hours, otherwise there will be agitation in the entire Purvanchal… Pallavi Patel’s warning to the Yogi government
Sandeep Tiwari, Lucknow: Pallavi Patel, MLA from Sirathu seat of Uttar Pradesh, reached outside Vidhansabha Gate No-1 on Saturday. Apna Dal (Cameraist) leaders and some farmers of Banaras were also present with him. During this, in a conversation with NBT Online, he said that in the name of transport city and residential scheme in Varanasi, the fertile land of farmers is being encroached upon. Lathicharge and fake cases have been registered against farmers and women, so Patel has protested against the Yogi government in front of the Lucknow-based assembly.

Gujarati companies being benefited: Pallavi
Pallavi Patel said that if the government does not release the farmers without any condition within 48 hours, then they will agitate in the entire Purvanchal. Without the consent of the farmers, a conspiracy is being hatched to give commercial benefits to the Gujarati companies, instead of doing any public welfare work by forcefully taking land at throwaway prices. Farmers were beaten up and were not even allowed to get treatment in hospitals. Even children were not spared, putting humanity to shame.

Administration working as an agent: Pallavi Patel
MLA Pallavi Patel said that 11 farmers, including a woman, should be unconditionally released in District Jail Varanasi and the loot of fertile land of farmers should be stopped. There will be an all-out fight for this. The involvement of Kaushal Raj Sharma, Divisional Commissioner of Varanasi, who are acting as agents of Gujarati companies, is highly objectionable. The administration of Varanasi is responsible for lathicharge and filing fake cases for this entire occupation attempt. That’s why I demand that there should be a judicial inquiry into this whole matter. Also, concrete action should be taken against the culprits.
