On the occasion of the completion of two years of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the state, Shiv Sena has targeted the BJP, saying that the opposition has been completely directionless in the last two years. The party has said this through its mouthpiece. According to the party’s view that appeared in Saamana on Sunday, the opposition was not successful in removing the coalition government led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray from power. Despite this, he is announcing new dates every day to remove the government from power. The editor of the mouthpiece, Sanjay Raut, has written in his weekly column that lies do not always succeed in politics. In the last two years, despite all the attempts to ‘malign’ Thackeray, his government, the Mahavikas Aghadi has stood firm. Taking a jibe at the BJP, Raut said that it has been two years since Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister for the second time in the dark of night before the Maha Vikas Aghadi government.
faced every attack
Raut said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is presently in the hospital and his health is fine, but the opposition has become directionless. The opposition left no chance to attack him. But Uddhav Thackeray bravely faced the levelless attack and still stands firm. Raut said that Shiv Sena leaders are being threatened with Enforcement Directorate (ED) action. Income tax department raids on people close to Sharad Pawar.
Allegations on BJP
Raut has claimed that to harass the government, the employees of BJP State Transport Corporation (ST) instigated the strike. It was BJP who instigated the riots in Amravati. What BJP is doing is not politics but a conspiracy done out of desperation.
Clear image and complete discount
Sanjay Raut said that Uddhav Thackeray’s image is clean and he is popular among the public. NCP President Sharad Pawar and Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi have given Thackeray a free hand and there is no interference. Raut claimed that BJP cannot break even a single MLA of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. The BJP’s victory in the Pandharpur bypoll earlier this year was a ‘mistake’ of the NCP, but the opposition could not survive the strategy of Congress leader Ashok Chavan in the Deglur assembly bypoll. Shiv Sena recently won the Dadra-Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha seat by-polls. Raut said the BJP did not perform well in the recent by-elections in 13 states. He claimed that the BJP leaves no chance to demoralize the state police. Raut said that former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh worked hard for the BJP in the Kalyan-Dombivli municipal elections while being the Thane Police Commissioner. The Shiv Sena leader said, “Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and others will tell how much Parambir Singh tried to break other parties and bring the rebels to the BJP fold.”
Government failed in the state for two years: Lad
BJP MLA Prasad Lad said that though the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the state completed two years today, the administration of the government has been disappointing. Lad blamed the government for the deteriorating law and order situation due to rampant corruption and farmer suicides. He said that the government has failed miserably on all fronts during the two-year tenure of the Uddhav Thackeray government. Farmers have committed suicides during this period. The government has not been able to provide adequate compensation or relief to the farmers. Only announcements were made but no real help was given. Law and order has become very bad. Murder, suicide and ransom are common. Recently, due to the strike of ST workers, the top officials of this government have been exposed.
