He further said that even before the formation of Uddhav Thackeray’s government, our MLAs were kept in Haryana. But we brought them back and set up the government. Elections were held yesterday, NCP had two candidates, they got full votes. Not a single vote of his was held from here to there. We are not angry with anyone. One thing is true that one candidate of Mahavikas Aghadi could not win. But the Congress party could not get the votes of its MLAs, we will talk and see what can happen.
Talking to the media, Pawar further said, ‘After seeing the situation here, I feel that some way or the other will come out. I am hearing from you that Eknath Shinde wants to become the Chief Minister. I don’t know whether Shinde wants to become CM or not. One thing is that in the understanding which is with all the three parties, the Chief Minister is with Shiv Sena, Deputy Chief Minister is with NCP and revenue is with Congress. The Chief Minister belongs to Shiv Sena and it is their internal matter, whatever they decide, we will support them. In 1980, I had 6 MLAs and on the basis of them, we collected 45 votes and sent a candidate to the Rajya Sabha.
Sharad Pawar said that I am sure that some way or the other will come out. We have good understanding in all the three parties. Regarding the demand of Eknath Shinde to be made CM, Sharad Pawar said that Uddhav Thackeray has run the government well.
