The Shiv Sena mouthpiece said that Shiv Sena has faced many challenges and whether it is in power or outside it does not matter to the party.
Future of Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government in balance
The editorial acknowledged that the fate of the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government is currently hanging in the balance. The editorial of Saamana further said that the MLAs who were elected on Shiv Sena ticket are now caught in the clutches of BJP. It said that in Surat, Maharashtra BJP members were present with the rebel MLAs, while in Guwahati, Assam ministers were there to welcome them.
ED probe pressure on Shiv Sena MLAs
“Till recently, BJP was accusing Shiv Sena MLAs of corruption and money laundering and threatening ED, CBI and IT investigations,” the editorial said, apparently referring to MLA Pratap Sarnaik. Sarnaik is currently in Guwahati with the rebel faction and has faced the Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe in the alleged money laundering case.
