In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and Labor has also taken out a GR. Under which trained and untrained people will be given contract jobs in government departments. The nine agencies that have got the contract to provide the staff. They will provide employees for various departments of the government in 74 categories in the next five years. Posts like Project Officer, Project Consultant, Senior and Junior Engineer, Auditor, District Coordinator, Law Officer, Teacher and Superintendent will be filled by these agencies. Recruitment to these posts in local body offices will also be done through these agencies.
Opposition raised the question
Regarding this issue, on Wednesday, Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Ajit Pawar demanded the withdrawal of the government resolution or order issued regarding recruitment on the basis of contract. However, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said it was the right decision. Fadnavis told the House that the decision was taken by the previous MVA government in the state. Pawar was also involved in this decision. The Mahavikas Aghadi government consisted of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP. Fadnavis also said that recruitment on contract will be done only for some specific projects.

NCP leader Ajit Pawar said in the assembly that recruitment of government employees on contract basis raises questions on confidentiality. Government servants are expected to maintain confidentiality in certain matters. Ajit Pawar said that some employees recruited on contract are getting more salary than the Chief Secretary of the state. Pawar said, the government order states that recruitment will be done on contract basis through private agencies in industry, energy and labor departments.
He also questioned the timing of this government order and said that in such a situation when government employees are agitating for the old pension system, the government has decided to recruit on contract basis. In response, Fadnavis said that the decision and tender to recruit people on contract basis was issued during the tenure of the MVA government. Our government is only implementing this decision because it is the right decision.
