On Saturday, Kesarkar said that I am confident that the final decision of the Supreme Court will come by Monday or Tuesday, after which the cabinet will be expanded. Although the court has not imposed any restriction on the expansion of the cabinet, yet such things should not happen during the ongoing hearing in the Supreme Court, which sends a wrong message. Kesarkar said that it is the role of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis that the Supreme Court should be given due respect.
The statement was given at the behest of top leaders
Kesarkar said that I had given a statement regarding expansion of the cabinet till August 7 only at the behest of top leaders. After that our top leaders also went to Delhi. The BJP and Shinde faction government has the support of 20 independent MLAs. Some independent MLAs will also be included in the cabinet, so it takes some time to take a decision. If the MLAs of Shinde faction had to save the legislature, we would have merged with some other party. But our fight is to save internal democracy in the party, so we have not left Shiv Sena.
Don’t make fun of CM’s illness
Kesarkar said that the Chief Minister is not getting time to rest. They are constantly touring, meeting people, solving their problems. In such a situation, if his health has deteriorated, please do not make fun of him. An official said that the Chief Minister is unable to sleep even for a minute due to government work. I have also seen ministers who used to sign the letters coming to them without reading them and give them to their private secretary.
