Distribution of portfolios of ministers in Maharashtra, Shinde will handle Fadnavis’s home, urban development, see full list

Mumbai: In Maharashtra, the portfolios of the ministers of the Eknath Shinde cabinet were divided on Sunday. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has given important Home portfolio to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Shinde, who expanded the two-member cabinet by inducting 18 ministers on August 9, has kept the urban development portfolio with him. A statement from the Chief Minister’s Office said that Fadnavis will also hold the finance and planning portfolios.

At the same time, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, who became a minister from BJP’s quota, will be the new revenue minister. Sudhir Mungantiwar has been made the Forest Minister, which he already held. Former state BJP president Chandrakant Patil is the new minister of higher and technical education, he will also look after parliamentary affairs. From the Shinde-led faction of Shiv Sena rebels, Deepak Kesarkar is the minister for school education, while Abdul Sattar has been given the agriculture portfolio.

Sudhir Mungantiwar- Forestry, cultural activities and fisheries
Chandrakant Patil- Higher and Technical Education, Textile Industry and Parliamentary Affairs
Dr Vijaykumar Gavit tribal development
Girish Mahajan- Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Medical Education, Sports and Youth Welfare
Gulabrao Patil- water supply and sanitation,

Sanjay Rathore- Food and Drug Administration

Sandipan Bhumre- Employment Guarantee Scheme and Horticulture
Uday Samant- industry
Tanaji Sawant- Public Health and Family Welfare
