Brijesh Pathak strict on the death of newborn in Badaun, Nursing home sealed, instructions for action on operator
Lucknow: Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak has taken the cases of negligence in the health department very seriously. The said hospital has been sealed regarding the case of death of a newborn in a nursing home in Badaun. At the same time, instructions have been issued to stop the salary of the doctor who prescribes medicines from outside to the patients in the district hospital of Banda. Deputy CM says that those who ignore the rules and are negligent will not be spared.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that Devwati, wife of Devendra Sharma, a resident of Kotwali area’s village Parewajnagar, was admitted to the said nursing home on Sunday afternoon due to labor pain in Sribanke Bihari Nursing Home located at Bilsi Road. Due to the negligence of the doctor, the newborn died. In this regard, the CMO has been instructed to take strict action against the guilty doctor as per rules and send the report within two days. The said hospital has also been sealed. After investigation, strict action will be taken against the hospital administration.

On the other hand, taking cognizance of the case related to prescription of medicines outside in Banda’s district hospital, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak has ordered the CMO to withhold the salary of the casual medical officer Dr. Shiv Kumar Maurya for two absent days (March 13 and 14). The Deputy Chief Minister has said that no doctor should prescribe medicines from outside. In case of need, written advice should be given for generic medicines of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra. He said that negligence will not be tolerated at all. Providing high level health services to the patients is the topmost priority of the government.
