On July 16, 2020, at 1 pm, there was a stir when around 150 youths in army uniform reached the main gate of Air Force Station Halwara. When the Air Force security forces immediately took over the front, all the youths started running away. With the help of the reform police, about 10 uniformed youths were caught and brought to the police station, when everyone was shocked to hear their truth. Piru had called all these youths to Air Force Station Halwara by giving fake appointment letters and uniforms for recruitment in the Army and Air Force. Piru had assured these youths that they would be airlifted from Halwara station to their place of posting. Piru did not reach the scheduled time and date and fled.

Amar Ujala had prominently published this news on July 17, after which the government also swung into action. Amar Ujala had disclosed on 18 July that Thug Piru, recruited in the Army’s 152 TA Battalion in 2002 in the name of Sarwan Singh, was dismissed from the Army in 2016. The real name of the thug who was recruited in the army on the certificate of his brother Sarwan Singh and in his name is Pradeep Singh Piru. Till 2016 Piru continued to work in the name of his brother. The woman of Jeevanpur village of Patiala has also been an ally of Piru in this whole illusion.
