Noida: On Wednesday, a bulldozer demolished a 200-year-old religious place in Sector-18 of the Yamuna Authority in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is alleged that this action has been taken by the Yamuna Authority. Hundreds of people gathered on the spot on the information of demolition of the religious place. Angry people started protesting and raising slogans against the authority. The police team that reached the information somehow explained to the people. People have warned that they will protest if the shrine is not rebuilt soon.

Residential and commercial plots have been made in Sector 18 by Yamuna Authority near Achheja Buzurg village. A religious place is also built here near the water tank. People say that the religious place is about 200 years old. To which the faith of the people is attached. It is alleged that on Wednesday afternoon a bulldozer came and demolished the religious place. As soon as people came to know about this, hundreds of people reached the spot. Seeing the angry people, the bulldozer driver fled from there. The matter was reported to Dial 112. After which the Kotwali police also reached the spot with the team. The police pacified the people creating ruckus by persuading them.

The people were assured that the matter would be resolved by holding their meeting with the officials of the Yamuna Authority on Thursday. There is a demand of the people that a religious place should be built again at this place. Kotwali in-charge Sanjay Kumar Singh says that a meeting of the villagers will be held with the officials of the Yamuna Authority. People have been explained. Due to which there is peace on the spot.
