Greater Noida: Strict action is being taken against 18 builders who did not attend the review meeting after registering the project in Uttar Pradesh RERA and did not respond even after RERA called. Preparation for action in this direction has been started by RERA. RERA has announced on Friday that their attitude has not changed and RERA will not be informed about the project update, then RERA will freeze their accounts and other strictness will be done. In future, sale will also be banned in the projects of these builders. Not only this, in future builders will not be able to register any other project under RERA.
According to Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) secretary Rajesh Kumar Tyagi, promoters of real estate projects who are consistently absent in review meetings may soon have their bank accounts frozen, along with a freeze on the project, as well as freezing of the units. Sales and purchases can also be banned. In future, the registration of new projects of such promoters can also be completely banned. The Secretary has ordered all the officers of the Authority to strictly follow this order.
Such projects are being reviewed by UP RERA, whose completion date has expired in 2022. But till now the promoters have neither informed about the completion of the project nor applied for the extension of the completion date of the project. Such promoters are being called for meeting by UP RERA authority but many promoters remained absent in this meeting. These builders are not reaching the RERA meeting even after repeated calls.
