Maharashtra College Reopen: After schools, colleges and universities will open in Maharashtra from February 1, state government’s approval

Mumbai: Schools were opened a few days ago as the cases of corona in Maharashtra decreased. Now the state government has decided to open colleges and universities from February 1. The state government has given its approval to this proposal of the Higher and Technical Education Department. However, according to the local circumstances, the government has given the right to open or not to open colleges and universities, apart from the college and university administration, to the local district administration. Along with this, it has also been said that the students who have got both the doses of corona vaccine, only those students should be given admission in colleges and universities. The academic world has welcomed the government’s decision to open colleges and universities after schools. Along with this, the government has made it clear that the examinations to be held till February 15 will be online only. Subsequent examinations can be taken offline.

Schools were open from January 24
Let us inform that the Education Department of Maharashtra Government had issued orders to open schools in all the districts of the state from January 24. In fact, there was a demand from the parents of the children for a long time that the schools should be opened. Due to the increasing demand to open the school continuously, a proposal was also sent in this regard to the Chief Minister in the Education Department. On which the Chief Minister had put his seal of consent on Thursday. Parents said that when the cases of corona are decreasing and the number of patients admitted in hospitals is also very less, then schools should be opened so that the education of the children is not affected.

Where will schools open?
The Maharashtra government may have given permission to open the schools but it has also imposed some conditions with it. The government has allowed schools to be opened in only those districts or areas where corona cases are below average. Apart from this, the decision to open schools will be entirely of the local administration i.e. Metropolitan Municipality, Municipality, Zilla Parishad. In these places, the administrative officers will decide which places to open schools in their area.

What are the rules?
Along with the opening of the school, the Maharashtra government has also appealed to the authorities that children should not be called forcibly in the school. The consent of the parents must be obtained before sending the children to school. If parents want to send their children to school voluntarily, only then they should be allowed to come to school. Apart from this, it is mandatory for teachers and other school staff to have both doses of corona vaccine. Along with this, the education officers should also make arrangements for the vaccination of children between the age group of 15 to 18 years in the school with the administrative officers. Not only this, it will be mandatory for the school authorities to take all necessary and precautionary steps before opening the school. The report of which will be required to be given to the senior officers.
