‘After Babri, there was a wave of Shiv Sena, today we will become PM’, war of words intensifies in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s statement regarding BJP has created a political furore. Now Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has also targeted the alliance with BJP. Sanjay Raut said that after the demolition of Babri, there was a wave of Shiv Sena in the country. He claimed that if he had contested elections in North India at that time, Shiv Sena would have been the Prime Minister in the country. Sanjay Raut said, ‘We brought BJP from bottom to top in Maharashtra. We had a wave in India after Babri, if we had fought elections in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir at that time, then we (of Shiv Sena party) would have been PM in the country. But we left everything for BJP. BJP uses Hindutva only for power.

‘I had to pay the price to go with BJP’He further said, ‘This is true, this did not happen only with Shiv Sena, but all those who had gone with BJP had the same condition, everyone had to pay the price.’

‘Wasted 25 years by allying with BJP’
Earlier, Uddhav Thackeray had accused the BJP of using Hindutva according to political convenience. He said that BJP uses its allies according to its convenience and then puts them aside. Uddhav said, ‘BJP does not mean Hindutva. I stand by my statement that Shiv Sena has wasted 25 years in alliance with BJP.
