Mumbai: Crossing and repairing of water pipe lines to be done in Thane city and Diva. Due to this, water will remain closed for 8 to 24 hours on Thursday and Friday. According to the information received from the Municipal Water Supply Department, due to the ongoing development work in the city, the 500 mm diameter pipeline located at Dhobi Ghat of Kopri Complex is getting obstructed. The crossing work of this pipeline will run from 9 am on Thursday to 9 am on Friday. Due to this, water supply from Kopri’s Dhobi Ghat and Kanhaiya Nagar water tank will remain closed for 24 hours.

On Friday, May 26, valves are to be replaced along with maintenance, repair work of the stem authority’s pipeline passing through the Saket bridge located in Saket, Kalwa. That is why water supply from Stem Authority will be interrupted from 9 am on Friday to 9 am on Saturday.

People of Ghodbunder Road, Lokmanya Nagar, Vartak Nagar, Saket, Ritu Park, Jail Complex, Gandhi Nagar, Rustomji, Indira Nagar, Rupa Devi, Srinagar, Samta Nagar, Siddheshwar, Eternity, Johnson, Mumbra and Kalwa will not get water for 24 hours . There is a massive leakage in the 500 mm diameter pipeline supplying water from Nilje to Diva’s old Ward No. 27 and 28 at Usarghar Railway Pulia Palava City Compound. It has to be repaired.

Due to repairs, Agasan, Betwade, Ganesh Nagar, Bedekar Nagar, Mhasoba Nagar, Shanti Nagar, B.R. Nagar, Mumbra Devi Colony, Sabe Village and Diva West Complexes, water supply will remain closed from 10 am to 6 pm on Friday. Along with this, water will come with less pressure in the said premises for the next one to two days. Municipal administration has appealed to the people to store water.
