Vedanta Foxconn Project: Project went to Gujarat due to political pressure, Ajit Pawar criticizes Shinde Govt

Vedanta Foxconn Project: Now state opposition leader Ajit Pawar has also targeted the Shinde government over the Vedanta-Foxconn Semiconductor project. Pawar has criticized the Shinde-Fadnavis government that the project has gone to Gujarat due to political pressure.

Ajit Pawar said that during our government these big projects were to come in the state. Many industries were coming. Vedanta’s senior team also suggested Talegaon as the right place. At the same time, the company had inspected Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh. After thinking of 100 things Maharashtra was finalised.  This investment went to Gujarat due to political pressure. This investment is not suitable to go through the state.  2 lakh people, employment of 2 lakh crore investment has been lost.

Earlier, Industries Minister Uday Samant held a press conference and presented the government’s side regarding the controversy of this project. He has said that Mahavikas Aghadi government never gave package to Vedanta-Foxconn company. The High Power Committee meeting was not even held during the Mavia government. Had this meeting been held, the project of Vedanta-Foxconn company would not have gone out of the state. Samant said, in the seven months when he was supposed to be given the additional package, it was not given. This is why the company moved out of the state. But we are being accused of hiding this truth. He also said that a similar or bigger project in Maharashtra will come up in the next few days.
