Pune SPPU: The science blended course (BSc. Blended) conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University (Sppu) and University of Melbourne in Australia has now been extended to four years. This course started from 2014-2015 was three years but as per national education policy it has been decided to make it four years. This course is now being conducted at Savitribai Phule Pune University, University of Madras, Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management.
BSC (Blended) What exactly changes in BSC Blended course?
From 2014-2015, Savitribai Phule University and University of Melbourne, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune jointly designed the curriculum and launched B.Sc (Blended) degree. It was a three year course to get this degree. It used to award degrees from Savitribai Phule Vidyapeeth Pune and a quality assurance certificate from University of Melbourne. This degree was launched under the UGC policy of Globalization of Higher Education.
Now as per the new education policy each degree will be of four years duration. It will also have multiple entry-exit option. In the same background, this science course (B.Sc. Blended) of Savitribai Phule University and University of Melbourne has now been made four years. In this, students can study in India for 2 years and in Melbourne for 2 years. What does it take to move to Melbourne and complete a degree?
"B.Sc. Blended students can study for 2 years at Savitribai Phule Pune University and obtain a diploma and then complete the remaining 2 years in Melbourne to obtain a dual degree. Savitribai Phule who provides such a course Pune University is the first", also Dr. Avinash Kumhar said.

B.Sc. While completing the remaining two years of Blended, students can also get employment opportunities from Australia under the visa scheme. Therefore, students will be able to meet their own expenses. These children will also be given priority for visa and they can also get scholarship-fellowship from the Australian government based on their ability. There is no problem in saying that the way of international education has been opened for the students.
