This decision has been taken in a meeting held today in the hall of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The Chief Minister has said that he will bring a proposal and approve it in the next cabinet meeting.
40 percent exemption from income tax was canceled by Pune Municipal Corporation. MLAs of Mahavikas Aghadi had protested on the steps of the Legislative Assembly. It was attended by NCP MLAs Sunil Tingre and Chetan Tupe among others and a BJP delegation including Pune Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil also met Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Devendra Fadnavis. At that time, it was promised that a meeting would be organized to discuss the matter and take a decision. Accordingly, they held a meeting today and announced that the 40 percent discount will continue.
