Pune Crime News : Under the name of drugs (Pune news) from Goa Beer and foreign liquor have been exposed. (Pune Crime News) The team of Talegaon Dabhade Division of State Excise Department took action and arrested the truck driver. Liquor worth Rs 65,90,160 was also seized in this operation. The operation took place near Somatne Pathkar Nayak in Maval taluka. The arrested truck driver has been identified as Shankarlal Narayan Joshi (46, Res. Bassi, District Udaipur, Rajasthan). A case has been registered against him along with a person named Ompuri.
According to the information received, information was received from the State Excise Department that liquor produced in Goa and licensed for sale was being transported. Accordingly, the team of Talegaon Dabhade Division laid a trap in the area of Somatne village around 5 pm. At that time, the team intercepted a container truck on suspicion. When the truck was inspected, it was revealed that liquor was being smuggled from Goa under the guise of transporting medicinal drugs. A total of 845 boxes of foreign liquor and beer of various brands were seized. A total of Rs 65,90,160 worth of various types of foreign liquor and beer was seized for manufacture and sale. Items worth Rs 86.16 lakh including liquor and vehicle were seized.
The team of Talegaon Dabhade Inspector Sanjay Saraf, Sub-Inspector Deepak Supe, Priyanka Rathod, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sagar Dhurve, RC Lokhande took this action under the guidance of Superintendent of State Excise Department Charanjit Singh Rajput, Deputy Superintendent Yuvraj Shinde. Jawans Tatyaba Shinde, Rahul Janjal, Sanjay Gore took this action.
