During the investigation, the police found all the materials and seeds needed for opium cultivation. About two lakh rupees worth of opium cultivation goods have been seized. The police had received information in this regard. Accordingly, the police conducted an investigation and found that opium was cultivated. After that they immediately took action and confiscated the material. 

Second action of the week 

Ambegaon taluk in Pune is also the second crackdown on opium cultivation so far. In onion crop in Landewadi, Pingalwadi, a shocking fact of cultivation of opium in the field was revealed. The farmer was arrested in this case. The arrested farmer’s name was Bansilal Genbhau Hule (age 73 years, resident Pingalwadi). Bansilal Genbhau Hule, the accused, planted opium trees in the onion crop at Landewadi, Pingalwadi. The police had filed a complaint in this matter. Hule owns a four gunta farm in Pingalwadi village. The police had received information that opium has been cultivated in this field. Accordingly, the police team inspected the farm. At that time, it came to light that opium was cultivated in the field. The police then arrested Hule and confiscated the goods.

Opium cultivation is illegal in Maharashtra. Still many farmers are seen cultivating drugs. Farmers start this game for money. But the police got a clue of this and action was taken against the farmers. Not only opium, but also the cultivation of ganja has often come to the fore.
