This video of chain snatching is going viral on social media. The incident took place at Model Colony in Shivajinagar, Pune around 8 pm when an old woman was returning home with her two grandchildren. He tried to snatch the chain on the pretext of asking for the address. Meanwhile, a person sitting on a scooty stopped near an old lady and asked her the address of some place. As soon as the woman came near the car, the man tried to pull the chain by hitting her on the neck.
Older and 10-year-old girl brutally beat accused
Meanwhile, the old woman grabbed the accused’s hand and started beating him. At the same time, a 10-year-old girl who was standing with the old lady also fell on the accused and started beating her with a bag in her hand. On the other hand, the accused ran away from the spot seeing himself surrounded. After the video of this incident went viral on social media, the police have registered an FIR on the basis of the CCTV footage and started an investigation.
This incident happened on February 25. But after the video went viral, a case has been registered. With the terror of the Koyta gang, there has been an increase in chain snatching incidents in the city. There has been an increase in the number of such incidents in Pune for the past few days. Such types are often encountered on deserted streets. If not in the afternoon but in the night time, these thieves attack the old women directly or forcefully rob them.
