Nagpur News : Collector’s Office (Office of District Collector) a new building of 11 floors with modern facilities will be constructed. The presentation of this building was recently held by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis (Devendra Fadnavis) was presented. The Deputy Chief Minister assured that the funds would be increased considering the increase in the cost of the existing building and the new presentation. He also gave the green light to this plan. So the construction of the building is likely to start soon.
A grand new building will be constructed to house the revenue and all other related departments within the District Magistrate office premises. The old building containing city tehsil, bridge, mining and excise department and Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Bhawan will be demolished. It was proposed to construct a building with first ground floor plus six (seven storeys). The construction department prepared the plan. It was sent back after the Ministry made an error in this. Later this was amended. After the change of power in the state, the government has given the responsibility of construction of this building to Metro Railway.
Changes suggested by district officials
Collector Dr. regarding the new building. Vipin Itankar (Vipin Itankar Nagpur Collector) had made some suggestions. As per that suggestion some changes were made. Now this building is going to have 11 floors. There will be two buildings on either side of the old Collectorate building. The plan and map of this building was recently presented to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He gave the green light for the construction of the building. It is informed that the tender will be published soon after taking further administrative action.
The beauty of the area will increase
At present, though the Collectorate premises are vast, they cannot be altered externally as they are a heritage building. That is why two big Tolejang buildings are going to be built next to the old building. The existing old structure will be retained. So, offices scattered elsewhere in the area will be consolidated in these two buildings. Also, the beauty of the area will also increase as the entire area will be renovated. Special precautions will be taken for parking, lawns and other necessary matters. As this area is modern in nature, the whole area will have a corporate look.
