Private Job : On the one hand for the demand of old pension scheme On the other hand, while the agitation is going on across the state, the state government (privatization of government jobs) has decided to give one lakh jobs through private contractors. One lakh posts from class one to class four posts which will have to pay two to two and a half lakh rupees per month will be filled privately. This will obviously reduce the number of posts to be filled through MPSC and MPSC students have opposed this decision. Is privatization an option to avoid government expenditure?, the question is currently being raised."text-align: justify;">Due to this decision there will be a radical change in the administrative system of Maharashtra. The state government has decided to carry out the important works which are the responsibility of chartered officers through private employees. Such private posts with monthly salary ranging from one and a half to two and a half lakhs have been created for this purpose. At the same time, the recruitment of class four posts like sanitation workers, drivers, gardeners were also done through private companies. For this, the state government has decided to appoint ten private companies.
There has been a backlash against this decision of the government among the students preparing for MPSC. Students have opposed this decision as due to privatization the posts to be filled through MPSC will decrease. The students have also warned to protest if the decision is not withdrawn. It is also claimed that privatization will increase efficiency due to the fact that government employees are not doing common work even after receiving salary. However, experts are also asking the question whether the government will remain in control of the affairs in case of privatization.
Maharashtra, earlier attempts were made to recruit employees for government posts through private companies when a major recruitment scam came to light. Now the government has decided to privatize the jobs. Of course, since reservation will not be applicable in these jobs in the private sector, there is a possibility of reaction from the social organizations. However, it is not yet clear how much money the government is going to pay to private companies to do the same. Aren’t these companies owned by politicians? A question is being asked.
