Crop Insurance: Big decision of AIC company, which is looking after the work of crop insurance scheme, offices in 16 districts will be closed, according to sources.

Many farmers have woken up due to the many agitations made by the leader of Swabhimani Shetkar Sangathan Ravikant Tupkar in the last month. He had approached AIC, a semi-government company, to get the benefit of the crop insurance scheme that he had paid for. However, the company gave different reasons and sometimes avoided paying crop insurance compensation and sometimes gave meager insurance benefits to the farmers. On the other hand, Buldhana Agriculture Superintendent has filed a complaint against the officials of this company in Buldhana City Police that the officials of the insurance company are not cooperating in order to get the benefits of insurance to the farmers. Therefore, the sources have informed that the offices of the 16 districts of the state where this company is working have been closed from today. Therefore, where to complain to the farmers to get insurance benefits even after paying the premium? Such a question has been raised before the farmers.

Farmers of Buldhana district deposit 233 crore rupees with the company 

Specially, thousands of farmers in Buldhana district alone had deposited nearly Rs 233 crore as premium to the company. However, the company has so far provided insurance benefits to selected farmers. Farmers have alleged that the company is making a mockery of the loss-affected farmers as some farmers have received less than the premium they have paid as insurance. For this, on November 27, the leader of the Swabhimani Farmers’ Association, Ravikant Tupkar, took the District Agriculture Superintendent to task. It has been learned that the AIC company has now unofficially decided to close its offices in 16 districts after the Agriculture Superintendent Buldhana complained to the police.
