Relief in the new tax scheme is over: Patole

Congress state president Nana Patole said, ‘The Finance Minister did not open his mouth on burning issues like inflation, unemployment, farmers, MNREGA, increase in the prices of petrol, diesel, LPG gas, minimum support price of agricultural produce. The general public of the country has got only disappointment from this budget. He said, ‘The exemption given in income tax is a step taken under the pressure of the old pension scheme implemented in Congress-ruled states. But this too is an illusion. According to the new income tax scheme of the government, those whose income is Rs 10 lakh will have to pay income tax of Rs 78 thousand. In the old scheme it was Rs 65 thousand. Instead of getting relief here, the burden of income tax of Rs 13,000 will fall on the middle class. In the new tax scheme, there will be no relief under income tax benefit, section 80C, 80D, 24B on home loan. Patole said that instead of luring women with higher interest rate on savings, the government should have announced some measures to reduce the cost of LPG cylinders and inflation.
