Budget Session: Farmers’ long march creates uproar in the assembly, take immediate action on demands; Opponents demand

Farmers are marching in such a scorching sun. From Nashik they are walking towards Mumbai on foot. Therefore, the leader of the opposition Ajit Pawar demanded that the government should immediately find a way on this issue. Farmers have participated in this march in such a large number, Ajit Pawar said that the government should discuss with them. 

Government positive regarding farmers’ demands: Dada Bhuse

Kisan Sabha delegation will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tomorrow. Nashik Guardian Minister Dada Bhuse informed that secretaries of various departments will attend this meeting. Today’s meeting has been cancelled. Bhuse said that the Chief Minister is positive about the demands of the farmers. Bhuse also said that the protesters will not have time to reach Mumbai. It has been said on behalf of the Kisan Sabha that if the demands are accepted, the march will be withdrawn from that place.  

Scheduled impromptu meeting cancelled: Vinod Nicolae

Our delegation was to come for a meeting with the Chief Minister today. But MLA Vinod Nikolay said that the meeting was canceled suddenly. These protesters will walk 200 kilometers. A similar long march took place in 2017 as well. Nikolay said that he knows the pain of farmers.  Therefore, Nikolay has demanded that the government should hold a meeting and discuss the demands of the farmers and find a way out. Other demands have been made on behalf of the Kisan Sabha, including the main demands of rightful forest land, daytime electricity and the fallen price of agricultural goods. Meanwhile, angry farmers protested against the government by throwing onions, tomatoes and coriander on the streets yesterday.
