His health is currently stable.
The blades are sharp. Unable to swallow them, he would swallow the wrapped blades along with the covers. He told the doctors the same thing. Swallowing along with the paper would have reached the stomach without causing any damage to the throat. But since the whole blade is difficult to get down the throat, he folds it into two pieces and swallows it. The doctors who collected this information from him were surprised. ‘Why are you eating blades?’ If asked, the answer is not given. Even his relatives do not know that he has a habit of eating blades.

Similar incidents have happened in the past too. Stomach stones, hair and shampoo packets were also recovered. In Coimbatore, a 13-year-old girl was surgically removed from her stomach along with empty shampoo packets and Arakilo hair. Doctors concluded that the girl was mentally unwell and swallowed the hair and shampoo packets.
