The Indian Rail Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced several attractive tour packages to increase the popularity of Tejas Express running between Ahmedabad and Mumbai among railway passengers.
IRCTC will introduce the curated package of Tejas Express for the first 3 days of December week. In this tour package, travelers will be able to travel to Mumbai, Vadodara and Ahmedabad. Although the price of this tour package has not been decided yet, it is estimated that the price of this tour package for one day will be around 2000 rupees per passenger. IRCTC’s Mumbai and Ahmadabad Tejas Express will be accommodated in a 4 star hotel for passengers booking the tour packages.
In this tour package, passengers will be taken to the historical and cultural places of Vadodara and Ahmedabad. According to Rahul Himalian, general manager of IRCTC’s west zone, vehicles will also be made available for passengers to roam.
The trip to Mumbai will include Laxmi Vilas Palace, Akshardham Temple, Sabarmati Riverfront. Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat. A similar package is being prepared by IRCTC for passengers going from Gujarat to Mumbai.
The Tejas Express, which has been shut for the last 7 months due to the outbreak of Corona virus, will once again run on the track from October 17. Before the Corona epidemic, where this train used to run up to 95 per cent, now this train is running up to 40 per cent. The premium outstation train has a capacity of 736 passengers. IRCTC is currently providing only 60 percent seats, while alternate seats are available to maintain social distance inside coaches.
