Veerabhadrasana shows significant results in getting rid of knee pain. It is a standing asana. Moreover it is very easy to do. It not only relieves knee pain but also strengthens the back. 

To do this you need to squat and keep your feet apart. Now turn your right foot out. Now moving away with the left leg.. stretch the right leg on the knee. At this point extend your arms parallel to the floor. After 20 seconds like this.. do it on the other side. If you do this asana regularly, your knee pains will go away.. and they will get stronger. 


Trikonasanam in yoga.. supports the inner quad.. tones the muscles. It stretches and strengthens the muscles around the knee. This asana is also very easy to do. 

Keep your feet apart.. hands parallel to the floor. Now bend to one side to touch one foot and touch the foot. If your right hand touches the foot.. the left hand should point towards the sky. Stay in this asana for 20 seconds.. and do it on the other side. 


Vrikshasana also gives good results in strengthening the knee muscles. Moreover, balancing asanas always provide good benefits to your entire body. This Vrikasana strengthens the muscles around your knee. 

This asana is also very easy to do. You stand up straight. Now keep one leg on the ground and place the other leg on the ground near the knee. Namaskar should be taken with the hands above the head. You can stay in this pose for 20 seconds. After that, do the same asana with the other leg. It will make your knee pains go away easily. Plan this asana by staying close to a wall if you are not able to balance. Doing it regularly will give good results. 

Sethu Bandhasanam

You can get not one but many benefits with this asana. Provides indirect support to the knee. It is also known as Bridge Asana. It not only relieves knee pain but also strengthens your back and buttocks.

You should do this asana while lying down. Lying in shavasana.. bring your feet to knee position. Now keep the head and shoulder position on the ground.. and put the weight on the feet.. lift your body up. It resembles a bridge. Now bring your hands close to the feet.. the asana should be for 20 seconds. 

Also asanas like Sukhasana, Utkatasana, Supta Padamgusthasana strengthen the legs.. remove knee pain. But before you do these asanas consult a yoga expert.. follow their instructions. Then you can practice these at home. If you have any injuries to your knees, definitely consult a doctor.
