Sitting for hours? Experts say this risk is wrong

More people are sitting for hours after work from home. If they are in the office, they go out for tea or coffee for a while and walk. According to this, they observed that the blood sugar, cholesterol and body fat levels were higher in those who sat for 10 to 12 hours despite exercising for 30 minutes daily. Compared to those who stood up and walked for a while in the middle, there were changes in the health condition of those who sat for a long time. He expressed the opinion that exercising for just 30 minutes is not enough. He said that working out for a short period of time is not enough to eliminate the ill effects of sitting for a long time. Those who stood up and walked around for a while were 40 percent more active compared to those who sat for a long time.

Some of the participants in the study not only exercised for an hour a day but also did two hours of extra physical activity as part of their daily tasks. Their blood sugar levels increased due to long hours of sitting still. An increase in body fat percentage was observed. Researchers have found that cholesterol levels are also high.

How to overcome

Exercise include going for a walk, brisk walking, bending over to clean the house, climbing stairs, walking in the office corridor for a while. Walking can be done. According to the study, 80-90 minutes of light activity per day should be done. Experts say that physical activity is also important along with exercise. That means you should sit less and move more.

You should move from the sitting place to another place for eating and walk for a while immediately after eating. Sitting still for hours in front of the system can also cause neck pain. Therefore, instead of staring at one side, you should move the neck part from side to side.
