Pregnant women beware, risk of premature birth if dental problems – says new study

Every married woman wants to be a mother. For that there are people who do many pujas and fasts. But the number of people who follow precautions after pregnancy is less. Even small things can sometimes become risk factors during pregnancy. Such is gingivitis.  This is called gingivitis. A study suggests that those who have this gingivitis problem during pregnancy are more likely to give birth prematurely. That is why this study suggests paying attention to oral health after pregnancy.

Scientists from the University of Sydney conducted a study to find out the relationship between oral health and pregnancy. Usually there are many problems during pregnancy. Gum problems can also occur in such things. But many people ignore them. The reason is that they are thought to have nothing to do with childbirth. Swollen gums and plaque build-up on the teeth are indicators of inflammation in the body. It doesn’t take long for the bacteria on the teeth or the bacteria on the gums to reach the baby through the mouth into the stomach…from the stomach through the placenta. This can cause many problems for the child as well. There is a risk of premature birth especially. That’s why after pregnancy, the same precautions should be taken in terms of food and medicine in keeping the mouth clean.

According to a survey, it is estimated that 70 percent of pregnant women in our country suffer from gum problems. The chances of diabetes, heart and kidney problems also increase in those affected by gum problems. So it is very important to consult a doctor if you notice swelling of the gums or other dental problems and do not take them lightly.  Brush twice a day. Due to this, food residues remain in the mouth after eating, which become a habitat for bacteria. Bacteria born in the mouth enter the stomach and cause problems.
