Periods: Do periods last just a day or two? It is a sign of illness

Menstrual cycle is very important in a woman’s life. Periods indicate the functioning of her reproductive system. Girls experience periods for the first time between the ages of 9 to 14 years. When the body stops producing as much estrogen as it should, periods stop within a day or two. The endometrium layer is thick enough when estrogen levels are low. Then the blood flow is also less. So, if the periods are ending in a short period of time for a few months, you should definitely consult a doctor. If the period ends within four to eight days, you are healthy.
