Navratri Recipe : Navratri festival is just a few days away. Many congregations fast for nine days during Navratri festival. But one gets tired of eating khichdi, sabudane vade, the usual fasting food. So know the recipe for making sabudanee thalipeeth…

Ingredients required to make ‘sabudanee thalipeeth’ –

  • Boiled potatoes – 2
  • Roasted sago – 2 bowls
  • Roasted peanut shells – 1 bowl
  • Green chillies – 5 to 6
  • Ghee or oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste

Recipe for ‘Sabudanee Thalipeeth’

– First of all mash the boiled potato finely to make ‘Sabudanee Thalipeeth’ .
– Grind the chillies in the mixer.
– Mix the roasted sago, groundnut shell, split chillies, crushed potato, salt to taste.
– Add water as needed to the prepared mixture and knead the flour. br />- After kneading the dough, pat it like  Thalipeeth.
– Keep the tawa heated on medium flame of gas on one side. 
– After heating the tawa, add oil or ghee to it. Roast on medium flame.
– After five minutes remove the lid and shift the thalipeeth to the other side Way.
– Prepared thalipeeth tastes delicious with curd. 

Milk should be consumed

Many people feel tired while fasting. In that case, milk should be consumed. Milk contains protein, calcium and vitamin B-2. So drinking milk during fasting is beneficial for health. Drinking hot milk along with the fasting mix will also help in filling the stomach. Milk also does not cause many problems.
