White rice is a good source of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are nutrients like fuel that the body needs for energy. All these good things that come from white rice also have some bad ones.  Most importantly, eating white rice increases the risk of type 2 diabetes. The results of a large study on this were published in the Archives of International Medicine. According to this, people who eat more than five servings of white rice per week have an increased risk of type 2 diabetes. 39 thousand men and 1 lakh 57 thousand women participated in this study. It was revealed that when brown rice was eaten instead of white rice, it was significantly reduced.

When white rice is taken regularly  Metabolic syndrome may occur. Complications such as heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes are increasing in metabolic syndrome. Moreover, fat accumulates around the waist. Experts say that BP may rise and cholesterol levels rise. There is a 30 percent higher risk of metabolic syndrome among those who consume white rice a lot.

However, according to what the experts have said, there is no need to completely avoid white rice. Also, it is dangerous to eat only white rice. So there is no harm in eating white rice without exceeding the dose.
