Heart: Productivity should be improved if our country is to compete with the countries of the world. That means sitting and working for longer hours. Doing this will increase productivity. India’s economy goes ahead, but the health of employees deteriorates. It especially affects the heart. Long working hours may increase productivity but may degrade health. Mental health also decreases. Many people sit and work in offices for hours without moving. They are prone to get heart diseases quickly.

Heart is an important organ in the body. Blood throughout the body, oxygen and nutrients must reach all the organs through the blood. That means the heart should work properly. For our body to be alive, the heart has to work tirelessly. However, sitting for long working hours puts pressure on the heart. Studies have shown that even if you work for 8 to 9 hours a day without moving, the chances of heart disease are 40 percent higher. Those who sit for longer periods of time are more likely to develop heart disease. Especially stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline are released more in our body. This changes the heart rate. Blood pressure increases. It damages the blood vessels and leads to heart attack or brain stroke.

So you should stop working in the office for hours and hours. It is very important to get up and walk for five minutes every hour and a half. Lack of physical activity can also lead to heart disease. Also problems like high blood pressure and high cholesterol come. Weight also increases quickly.  Working in the office for long hours can also affect mental health. Stress levels increase. That is why studies show that heart attacks are more common among young people. Those who work for 12 hours a day are more likely to have a heart attack.

At least five hours a week should be allocated for walking. Practice relaxing habits. If you are constantly working, the stress on your body will increase without you knowing it. There is no telling when your heart health will deteriorate and it will stop beating. So employees should take time off from excessive work and create conditions where they can work cool. Especially health should be given first priority.
