Milk – half a liter

Coconut milk – half a liter

Stuffing – 1 cup (must soak before half an hour)

Jaggery – one and half cup

Cardamom powder – pinch

For Garnish..

Ghee – 2 tsp

< p>Cashews – 10

Preparation Method

First take a mixer and add coconut water in it. Add chopped coconut in it. Blend it well and grind it to a fine paste. Then take a wide pan and pour milk in it. Bring it to a boil. When the milk is reduced to half, add the previously prepared coconut mixture to it and mix well. Along with it you have to add coconut milk. While boiling this mixture well, add the soaked stuffing in it and cook it.

Now light another stove and take another kadai on it and put one and half cups of jaggery in it.. put some water in it. Stir the jaggery well until it melts. Now add this jaggery to the boiling coconut mixture and mix well. Add jaggery and stop the stove while mixing. Otherwise the milk will spoil. After you add the jaggery mixture and think it’s well combined.. light the stove. Cook until it thickens. Now take a small kadai and add ghee in it.. Add cashew nuts and nuts and fry till thick. Add these to the payasam.. add cardamom powder, saffron if any and mix well and switch off the stove. That’s it, hot coconut payasam is ready. You can offer this to Amma and serve it hot. Otherwise, its taste is very good even if eaten cold.
