Will there be a game with Nitish Kumar as soon as Lalu Yadav returns to Patna? Will BJP support RJD?

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Yadav is taking health benefits in Singapore, thousands of miles away from Patna these days. As the date of his return is getting closer, the heat can be clearly felt in the politics of Bihar. Be it the ongoing brawl over the statement of Nitish government’s Education Minister Chandrashekhar or Upendra Kushwaha’s rebellious attitude, many political chapters are open in Bihar. It is believed that a big political upheaval is going to happen in the politics of the state before the Lok Sabha elections.

JDU Parliamentary Board President Upendra Kushwaha is continuously sharpening the edge of attack on Nitish Kumar. His political attacks have now become personal. There are many aspects to this new battle. It is not just a fight of Nitish vs Kushwaha. Here Nitish vs everyone else is being talked about behind the scenes. To understand this, you have to go till the last few assembly elections.

In the last assembly elections in Bihar, there was a big discussion about two slogans of JDU. The first slogan was ‘Bihar mein bahar hai, Nitish Kumar hai’ and the second slogan was ‘Kyun karein vichar, thike toh hai Nitish Kumar’. Although two and a half years is not a very long time for a national situation, but sometimes such a gap in politics is like an era and politics turns 360 degrees. What to say if the reference is to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar… because he has proved it in 2017 and 2022.

How much damage will Kushwaha be able to do to JDU?

At present, there is no spring in Bihar, but there is a lot of ruckus. The script of a new Chief Minister or a new government is being written in Bihar this year itself. Upendra Kushwaha is a shareholder or a tenant in JDU, this dispute may be resolved in February. Nitish Kumar has said that whoever wants to go should go. The answer also came from Upendra Kushwaha that on the saying of elder brother, younger brother will leave such a part and go away, I want my share. With this it has been decided that Upendra Kushwaha will go from JDU. The only thing that is being awaited is whether they will go after charging the price i.e. how much share they will take or after doing so much loss. Upendra Kushwaha may once again become a part of the NDA in the next few days by reviving his Rashtriya Lok Samata Party.

But this is not the real game. There is no big game in the politics of Bihar and it is not possible around Lalu Prasad Yadav. The real game on Bihar’s political backgammon will be played when Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is undergoing treatment in Singapore, will return to Patna.

RJD is continuously demanding to make Tejashwi CM

Nitish Kumar has announced that the Grand Alliance will contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections under the leadership of Deputy CM Tejashwi. Nitish wanted to calm the restlessness of RJD by saying that when will Tejashwi become the CM. But RJD’s restlessness has not subsided. It has increased due to the defeat of the Grand Alliance in the by-elections of Goplaganj and Kudhani. A large section of RJD has started feeling that Nitish does not have the capacity to transfer votes. Those who believe this feel that instead of waiting till 2025, Tejashwi should occupy the CM’s chair before the next Lok Sabha elections.

Nitish Kumar’s deal was done with RJD?

Its hallmark is also found in the statement of Jagdanand Singh last year who says that the country is waiting for Nitish Kumar and Bihar is waiting for Tejashwi Yadav. He has even said that Tejashwi will become the CM in 2023 itself. Now all the trouble is between 23 and 25 only. If you see from logic also, Nitish has to set out on a campaign to save the so-called country next year, then Tejashwi should be transferred to the CM’s chair this year itself. RJD people are repeatedly reminding about the deal for this and on the other hand Upendra Kushwaha is also asking questions to Nitish regarding this so-called deal. However, no one is publicly telling what the deal is.

RJD’s second formula to make Tejashwi the CM

In such a situation, now RJD has started moving in that direction that if Tejashwi becomes the CM with the support of Nitish, then it is not averse to making his leader the CM even without him. Behind the scenes, the game has also started in this direction. Tej Pratap Yadav and Manoj Jha have met a BJP leader on Sunday, so it is clear that the cooking of khichdi has started, but it will be ready when Lalu gives it the green signal.

Will BJP support RJD?

You can imagine that what role will BJP play in making Tejashwi the Chief Minister? So the answer is that RJD has the support of 116 MLAs without JDU. RJD has 79 MLAs in Bihar, Congress 19, CPIML 12, CPI 4, AIMIM one and one Independent. In such a situation, only 7 MLAs will be required to make Tejashwi the Chief Minister without JDU. The second thing that would be needed is the tacit assent of the Governor and that is where he would need the support of the Center i.e. BJP and obviously it would be from behind the scenes.

Now the question arises that why BJP will help Tejashwi to become the Chief Minister. The answer is that BJP has to settle old scores with Nitish. Dismissing him with dishonor will give chills to the hearts of some BJP leaders. The second point is that if Tejashwi’s government is formed due to break in JDU, then Nitish and his party will become irrelevant in the politics of Bihar in the long run. This situation will be favorable for both BJP and RJD, as bipolar election suits both of them.

If you have reached any opinion from all these equations, then it will be hasty, because this is the politics of Bihar. Nitish Kumar is also not a raw player. If the ‘Chief Minister of Circumstances’ Nitish Kumar changes the circumstances again, the whole game can be overturned.
